About
Why CertifiedHours exists
I have friends who work in the field. They build the roads, schools and buildings the rest of us use, and they work incredibly hard doing it. CertifiedHours started as a way to make one tedious part of their job a little easier.
Certified payroll is that part: the same form every week, filled in at a desk after a day on site, where one wrong number can hold up a payment. Their energy is better spent on what they do best.
If CertifiedHours gives them back an hour a week to spend with their families, I think that’s awfully worthwhile.

CertifiedHours is a product of Rudderberry, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. It’s a small operation. When you write to support@certifiedhours.com, a person reads it and writes back.
How we check our work
- The pay math (overtime at 40, fringe kept out of the overtime rate, apprentice rates, FICA, gross and net) runs on code with automated tests. The free calculators on this site use the same code. Every rule, with the regulation behind it.
- The form follows WH-347, Rev. January 2025, and the Statement of Compliance on page 2 is the Department of Labor’s wording, word for word.
- Each guide lists the regulations and agency pages it relies on, and its claims were checked against them.
- We test it by working through real filings the way different people would: a subcontractor filing alone, a bookkeeper filing for 3 contractors, an office manager with a 14-person crew, and a prime’s compliance reviewer looking for reasons to send a form back. We fixed what each of them ran into.
What we promise
- If a prime or agency rejects a WH-347 we generated because of its layout or math, we fix it the same business day (Monday to Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays) or refund that month's charge; on an annual plan, one-twelfth of the annual charge.
- 1 finalized payroll a month is free, forever. Unlimited is $19 a month, and you can pause between jobs without losing anything.
- Your payrolls download as PDF or CSV whenever you want, and you can delete your account yourself. What we store, and what we never store.
- We never collect full Social Security numbers or workers’ home addresses, and we never move money. You run payroll; we make the certified payroll from it.
